and Wyoming Criminal
Defense Lawyer
My name is David Lindsey and I have more than 30 years of experience protecting the rights and preserving the freedom of clients throughout Colorado and Wyoming. I provide affordable, aggressive representation to every single client, and I treat every case as if my own future were on the line. Although I go to court nearly every day, I know the experience can be confusing and filled with anxiety. That is why I strive to ensure that my clients have a complete understanding of what will happen at each step of the process. I like to tell my clients that once I’m retained there will be no surprises because we will know well in advance of each court hearing what will happen next.
I became a criminal defense attorney because I love the courtroom. Whether it is a motions hearing, a jury trial, or a sentencing, I truly enjoy preparing and presenting my clients’ cases in the courtroom. I was a very successful high school and college debater, and the oratory skills I learned at a young age are very useful in the courtroom. I have taught classes at the University of Denver Law School, where many of my students complimented my ability to make complex legal concepts understandable.
I grew up in Wyoming, and I completed both my undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Wyoming. I began my career in Cheyenne, Wyoming as a public defender in 1988, and in 1992 I moved to Denver and opened my own practice. I’ve done criminal defense my entire career, and the experience I’ve gained over the years means that I’m ready to handle any kind of case, from violations of municipal codes all the way up the criminal justice system to major federal cases, including death penalty cases. I have tried more than 100 felony jury trials, and I’m very proud of my record in those trials. No case is too big or too small for me to become your lawyer, and for me to work tirelessly to generate the best possible outcome.
When I’m not working I enjoy skiing and fly fishing, and I’m a huge music fan and go to many concerts.
Whether you are charged with a crime in the states of Colorado or Wyoming, you face federal charges, or any combination of the three, I can help you build a strong defense. When you or a loved one is accused of a crime and facing a difficult legal situation (303) 228-2270 is the only call that you need to make.
